The Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS) successfully held its annual congress from the 12th to the 22nd of September 2024 at the Anagkazo Campus, Akuapim Mampong, under the inspiring theme “I Will GO – Surpassing Limits.” The event was marked by a series of impactful sessions aimed at empowering students to exceed boundaries in their spiritual and personal growth.

Pastor Daniel Abaidoo Bidiaba, Associate Director of Youth, Music, Public Campus & Possibility Ministries at Accra City Conference of SDA, served as the program coordinator and host. The congress featured a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Elder Franklin Owusu Karikari, Elder Benjamin Agyenim Boateng, Mrs. Lydia Abrafi Nsiah, Pastor Nana Kofi Nimako, Pastor Alexander Agyapong, Pastor Elorm Edison, and Pastor Yaw Afari Ankomah. These leaders delivered thought-provoking messages that challenged participants to embrace their call to mission and service.

A major highlight of the congress was the powerful prayer sessions led by Pastor David Nkatiah, Pastor Andrews Huzortey, and Pastor Gideon Donkwame. Their fervent prayers and intercession left a lasting spiritual impact on the attendees.

Adding a vibrant musical dimension to the congress, Manifest GH, Soul Street, New Era, Advent Voices, Musikteers Ensemble, Ms. Grace Takyiwaa, and various institution choirs blessed the gathering with their harmonious and uplifting performances, creating an atmosphere of worship and inspiration.

The congress also featured a live mentoring session where professionals from various fields shared insights and guided the students on their personal and career development journeys. This unique opportunity to interact with mentors fostered valuable discussions and encouraged participants to pursue excellence in their respective fields.

The event concluded with a community outreach initiative, in which participants donated items such as books, footwear, clothes, and foodstuffs to the Akuapem Mampong community. This act of kindness demonstrated the commitment of GNAAS members to social responsibility and left a lasting positive impact on the local community.

The GNAAS Congress 2024 exceeded its target of 1,000 participants, drawing a remarkable attendance of Adventist students from across the country, further solidifying the event’s success in empowering and inspiring the youth to embrace their mission.

The GNAAS Congress 2024 was a truly inspiring event, equipping Adventist students with the tools, spiritual guidance, and mentorship needed to “surpass limits” and fulfill their mission in both church and society.
