Bitterness binds the heart to pain, but compassion releases it into freedom and healing.
Scripture
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger… Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
—Ephesians 4:31–32 (NIV)
Reflection
Bitterness often begins as unresolved hurt. When pain is rehearsed repeatedly, it hardens into resentment, quietly shaping thoughts and reactions. While it may feel protective, bitterness drains emotional energy and clouds spiritual clarity. God calls us to something higher—compassion. Compassion does not deny wrong; it refuses to let wrong define the heart. Choosing compassion shifts the focus from offense to grace, from revenge to restoration. As we release bitterness, emotional tension softens, mental clarity returns, and peace replaces internal conflict. Through God’s help, forgiveness becomes strength, and compassion becomes evidence of true healing.
Prayer Point
My Father in heaven, search my heart and reveal any bitterness I have held onto. Help me release resentment and replace it with compassion. Teach me to forgive as You have forgiven me, and restore peace within my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fruit & Vegetable Plan — Clean Heart Juice
Beetroot + Carrot + Apple + Lemon + Ginger

Evangelism Tip
Model compassion in difficult conversations. When others notice your calm and forgiveness in situations that normally produce resentment, it becomes a living testimony of Christ’s transforming love.
