Overcoming Fear and Anxiety at the Start of the Year

Please log in or register to do it.

A new year does not require fear—God goes before you, walks with you, and strengthens you for every unknown ahead.

Scripture

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
—Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

Reflection

The beginning of a new year often awakens anxiety—unfinished goals, uncertainty, and fear of failure. Yet God never asks you to carry the weight of the future alone. Fear thrives on uncertainty, but faith rests in God’s faithfulness. When you bring your worries into His presence, anxiety loosens its grip and peace begins to settle. Trusting God at the start of the year reframes uncertainty as opportunity and replaces fear with steady confidence anchored in His promises.

Prayer Point

My Father in heaven, I surrender my fears and anxieties to You. Calm my heart, steady my thoughts, and remind me that You are already present in every day ahead. Fill me with Your peace and courage as I step into this new season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
