God calls you to love deeply, but never at the cost of losing the identity He gave you.
Scripture
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
—Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Reflection
Love is powerful, but without boundaries, it can become draining. Many people give endlessly, overextend emotionally, and slowly lose their sense of self in the process. True love, however, is not self-erasure—it is healthy, balanced, and rooted in identity. When your worth is anchored in God, you can serve, support, and care for others without abandoning your values, needs, or peace. Guarding your heart is not selfish; it is wisdom. God designed love to flow from wholeness, not depletion. When you remain secure in Him, you love freely without fear, and you give without losing yourself.
Prayer Point
My Father in heaven, teach me to love others without losing the person You created me to be. Help me set healthy boundaries, protect my peace, and remain rooted in my identity in You. Let my love be balanced, wise, and Spirit-led. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
