FINISHING THE MONTH ROOTED AND GROUNDED

Please log in or register to do it.

As one season closes and another begins, remaining rooted in God allows you to move forward with stability, gratitude, and renewed strength.

Scripture

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
—Bible (Colossians 2:6–7)

Reflection

The end of a month provides a valuable opportunity to pause and reflect. It is a time to look back on the victories, challenges, lessons, and moments of growth that have shaped your journey. While some goals may have been achieved and others remain unfinished, one question is worth asking: Have you remained rooted in God?

Life often measures success by visible results, but God is equally concerned with the condition of your foundation. Throughout the month, circumstances may have changed, plans may have shifted, and unexpected challenges may have appeared. Yet through it all, God has been faithfully sustaining you.

Being rooted means your strength comes from a source deeper than circumstances. Like a tree planted beside a stream, your stability is not determined by the weather around you but by the nourishment you receive from God. Difficult days may have tested you, but they did not uproot you. Delays may have stretched you, but they did not define you.

As you finish the month, resist the temptation to focus only on what did not happen. Instead, recognize the ways God has preserved, guided, strengthened, and taught you. Growth is not always measured by achievement; sometimes it is measured by greater trust, deeper faith, stronger character, and renewed dependence on God.

This is also a time to release what no longer serves God’s purpose for your life. Let go of unnecessary burdens, disappointments, regrets, and distractions. Carry forward the lessons, but leave behind the weight.

As a new month approaches, remain grounded in God’s truth, rooted in His presence, and confident in His guidance. The same God who sustained you through this month will faithfully lead you into the next.

A rooted life remains steady because its foundation is secure.
