Loving yourself God’s way is not self-centered; it is agreeing with God about your worth and caring for what He has lovingly created.
Scripture
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
—Mark 12:31 (NIV)
Reflection
Many struggle to love themselves because they confuse self-love with pride or overlook its biblical foundation. God never intended self-neglect or self-hatred to be signs of humility. Healthy self-love begins with seeing yourself through God’s eyes, created with purpose, redeemed by grace, and worthy of care. When you accept God’s love, it reshapes how you speak to yourself, set boundaries, and treat your body and mind. Loving yourself God’s way creates emotional stability, nurtures confidence, and strengthens your ability to love others well.
Prayer Point
My Father in heaven, teach me to love myself as You love me. Heal areas of self-criticism and replace them with truth, grace, and compassion. Help me care for my heart, mind, and body in ways that honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
